Wait, here’s some real news- Moviefone’s website has a teaser-trailer up for the new Hollywood CGI Astro Boy. Something about this animation just irks the hell out of me, but I can’t put my finger on it. I think maybe because they changed Tezuka’s original character designs just a little, streamlining them so they lose a lot of their clunky charm? I don’t know. I’ve pretty much accepted Osamu Tezuka as my personal savior anyway, so maybe I am biased.
