Bad: Getting mugged.

Worse: Getting mugged by a furry.

Epic Fail: Getting mugged by a furry dressed like Winnie-the-Pooh.

Ishikawa and his friends beat up the two victims and stole $160 from them, the spokesman said, adding the group had apparently donned the unusual garb because they had run out of clean clothes

So, these guys had no clean clothes, but they just happened to have some animal costumes lying around? Mmm-hmmm. Furries.

Just read at Aint-It-Cool-News that ADV has ‘discontinued’ its Robotech lineup, as well as Best Student Council, Five Centimeters Per Second, and Innocent Venus. I’m a little stunned, seeing as ADV has held the Robotech license for about - I dunno - forever.

What with Funimation’s recent release of Shadow Chronicles and (presumably) whatever followup the folk at Harmony Gold come up with, one wonders if they’ll pick up distribution of Robotech.

We’ll keep you posted if anything develops.

UPDATE (4:12 PM EST) - Anime News Network reports that ADV’s de-listing of Robotech was a mistake; the Protoculture Box Set (containing all 85 episodes of the original series) remains in-print, although the single-disc and smaller box-sets are still discontinued. However, Five Centimeters Per Second, and Innocent Venus are still apparently kaput.

From Tokyo, your warm’n'fuzzy story of the day- a lost gray parrot was captured by police and taken to a local vet. To the vet’s surprise, the parrot was able to give his name and the full address of his owners, resulting in a quick and happy reunion.

Yosuke Nakamura doesn’t seem to trust the fuzz, however:

But Yosuke apparently wasn’t keen on opening up to police officials.

“I tried to be friendly and talked to him, but he completely ignored me,” Uemura said.
