Dark Horse CEO Speaks!
Dark Horse is one of my favorite comic publishers. I’ve never read anything they produced that I didn’t like. If I ever get to work in the industry, I would want to work at Dark Horse. So anytime I see an interview with their CEO, Mike Richardson (which happens more often than one would expect), I read it. He’s an interesting guy even if his hair does look like it’s made out of plastic.
In summary: 2009 was a tough year for the entire industry, the shojo manga thing has peaked, there are movies planned for MPD Psycho and The Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service, he’s all about the iPhone apps and about trying out new material. So yay for you, Mike Richardson. Keep up the good work!
