U.N. declares war on tentacle rape

I can’t read a lick of this, but Sankaku Complex says that the U.N. is calling on a resolution requesting that Japan ban all erotic media that feature rape.

Calling Japan’s treatment of women “inadequate” and “regrettable,” CEDAW (Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women) formally demanded Japan end “human rights violations” against women by banning games and manga featuring themes of “rape and sexual violence.” It is not clear whether they extend their demands to anime, AV or literature, though this seems likely.

Personally I think outlawing these kinds of expression, as reprehensible as they may be, is tantamount to censorship. And since when does hentai qualify as a humanitarian crisis demanding attention from the United Nations?
