Off-topic: Electronica pioneer EON is now worm-food

Back when I was hopping around the Midwest rave/techno scene in the early 90’s one of the big hit singles was ‘Spice’. I never really cared for it, but it seems you couldn’t step into a club without hearing it at least twice a night. Plus it had some of the coolest samples ever – ‘HE WHO CONTROLS THE SPICE, CONTROLS THE UNIVERSE!’.

Anyway, just found out that Ian Loveday – who released the tune under the name EON – just died. So I’m a little sad.
