Green Tea Coke and Basil Pepsi!
Starting this summer, Japanese people will get tto try Coke’s latest incarnation: green tea-flavored Coke. This actually sounds pretty good, though I doubt the antioxidents will do anything to counteract the effects of carbonation and high-fructose corn syrup.
Pepsi’s answer to Coke’s bold new move doesn’t sound quite as delicious: Pepsi Shiso, a soda flavored like…basil.
I love basil. In tomato sauce. I’m not sure if carbonated basil will tickle my fancy like carbonated green tea cola does. I guess we can only wait until it shows up in the States (I’m not holding my breath).
