Anime Notes 6/12/09

A couple notes on anime today: Yuji Iwahara’s King of Thorn manga (which I gave a favorable review some time ago) is getting a film adaptation from Kadokawa Pictures. It should be out sometime in 2010.

Also, the very beautiful Blade of the Immortal anime seems to be coming out in the U.S. in September, from Media Blasters. Now I may finally get around to watching it (I’ve been holding back out of fear; BotI is my favorite manga and I was afraid of how badly it might be screwed up…but if it’s on DVD there’s no excuse not to watch it).
