Some famous manga creators have lent their services to Japanese publisher Shueisha for a new series of the works of Jules Verne.
I love Jules Verne, and I love manga…but what the fuck is up with the cover of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea?
I don’t remember any giant blue dude (Dr. Manhattan??) or freakish mermaid- octopus girls. Squids, for sure, and underwater gardens and Kirk Douglas (wait, no…) and a kickass organ and a library with all kinds of neat shit in it. But definitely no mermaid-octopus chicks.
Not only is the picture messed up, it’s also subtitled in French. Now we just need a screaming schoolgirl and you’ve got the hentai trifecta.
