N. Korean Ladies Are the Height of Fashion
Even though North Korea is channeling tons of money into building bombs and shit, so much that their people are starving, North Korean women still manage to buy all the latest fashions!
…at least, that’s what the official media outlet of the North Korean government says.
“Korean dress shops in Pyongyang are bustling with customers in the current spring season,” the state news agency KCNA reported on Friday.
Workers had their hands full dealing with a deluge of orders, it said
KCNA quoted a worker in the Ryonghung Korean Dress Shop as saying: “All of them gasp their admiration for the graceful and fascinating costumes on show in the sample room.”
Actually, they’re gasping because those dresses cost more than they make in 5 years, and they can’t believe it.
Oddly, the article fails to mention that Kim Jong-Il designed each dress himself and made them by hand while preparing an 8-course meal for everyone in Pyongyang and winning Jeopardy at the sme time.
