New ‘Sex and Zen’ will be in 3D
Fans of the somewhat dormant Sex and Zen series will be pleased to hear that the new installment will utilize 3D technology…which will no doubt lead to some pretty interesting horse-penis hijinks.
Producer Stephen Shiu Jnr, chair of One Dollar Production, says his company will make “3D sex and Zen,” a sequel to the 1991 title “Sex and Zen” produced by his father Stephen Siu Yeuk-yen.
According to newspaper reports Shiu says pic will be made on a budget of HK$30 million ($3.9 million) with 3-D effects provided by well-known effects and post production outfir Menfond Electronic Art. Skedded for delivery in December, pic will star actresses from Japan and Taiwan.
Shiu says that 3-D movie making is the best way to beat movie piracy and the way forward for a Hong Kong film industry that is currently treading water.
Maybe they can coax Amy Yip (and her breasts) out of retirement…
