No Lip-Synching, Says China
Aw, China got called out during the Olympic opening ceremony, so now no one is allowed to lip synch on TV anymore. Damn it, there goes my elaborately choreographed and lip-synched performance to Madonna’s “Like a Prayer” that I was going to do for their New Year’s specials.
Though I suppose their reasoning makes sense, and I definitely don’t meet their standards:
This year, China’s State Administration of Radio, Film and Television has issued an order on its website to “Choose performers with real singing ability.”
