Save the Totoro Forest!

The anime-friendly people at Pixar Studios have devised a cunning plan to save Sayama Forest, an endangered patch of wild land on the outskirts of Tokyo. Sayama Forest was Hayao Miyazaki’s inspiration for the home of the Totoro forest spirits in the film My Neighbor Totoro, hence the name of the project!

Tons of cool artists have donated art to be auctioned off at the Pixar campus on September 6th. Even if you can’t afford to buy an original piece of artwork or make it to the Pixar Studios, you can still help out by donating whatever you can through the website. Check out the awesome donated art too!

Save the forest, guys…you never know what kind of cool cat-rabbit-bear things might be living in it!

Oh god… I’m convinced. I must save Totoro not only because it’s a good thing to do, but because my head *explodes* from cuteness because of the film.
